Kapil Meena

I am a PhD candidate in Transportation Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and I work as a research consultant with WRI India. My research interests include sustainable transport planning, urban air quality and human exposure, travel behaviour and mobility demand, activity travel behaviour and environmental impacts, gender and equity differences in mobility, and data analytics and machine learning for transport planning. I hold a Master’s in Transportation Systems Engineering from IIT Roorkee and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Rajasthan Technical University.

I have contributed to projects such as the DRUM Web App for evaluating demand responsive mobility, the TUTEM decision support system for integrated urban transportation and emissions management, a machine learning model for predicting particulate matter levels in Indian cities, and an urban air quality dashboard.
